Help Bridging Hope Change the Story of Sexual Violence for our Younger Generation.
Donate today to help us raise $15,000 to produce an original short film-- a powerful educational tool in our Let’s Talk© sexual violence prevention curriculum.
Change the Story: Inform & Empower
Each school year, Bridging Hope brings Let’s Talk© into classrooms, reaching more than 12,000 middle and high school students within our six-county service area (Hall, White, Habersham, Lumpkin, Dawson and Forsyth).
Let’s elevate how we communicate these important life lessons to our children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors with the addition of an original short film.
We are reminded almost daily of the need to help young people recognize harmful behavior and know how to respond. Now is the right time: changes to state standards have prompted updates to our curriculum, while licensing changes have made our previous film unavailable, creating an opportunity for Bridging Hope to develop a short film, we can tailor, own, and share more broadly.
The film will tell a realistic, age-appropriate story about consent, peer response, and bystander decision-making, without graphic content. Paired with guided classroom discussion led by Bridging Hope’s trained educators, the film will help students recognize harmful behavior, understand its impact, and see how their choices can make a difference.
Partnering with Bridging Hope for production is an award-winning filmmaker and director, Gainesville’s own, W. David Hogan. Upon completion, this film, a critical component of our prevention education, will inform and empower thousands of students each year, with the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of young people over its useful life.
Your support can help strengthen Bridging Hope’s Let’s Talk© prevention education and start conversations that will change lives.
Help us create the film. Help empower and inform students to recognize the moment. Help them change the story.
